Rum 'n' Gun
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Rum 'n' Gun is a first-person action platformer with some shooting elements, set in a world where pirate ships traverse the skies and islands float above the clouds.
You and your crew, during your mighty quest in search of a legendary bottle of Rum, stumble across a mysterious storm which strands your vessel on a small island.
In this demo, you'll explore this island and its secrets, venturing in a dark underground dungeon full of traps and enemies. What is this place? What were they hiding inside?
You will then have to set sail to explore the two new levels created for this demo, using new movement mechanics such as dashing, ziplining and grappling!
Will you be able to reach that fabled bottle o' Rum?

Known Issues
- If you get stuck during a dialogue, you can press Esc/B to exit. You should be able to try again and complete the dialogue but this bug is so rare that we couldn't replicate it properly. Anyways, completing dialogues is not mandatory to progress in the game.
- The Mac OS and Linux versions weren't tested thoroughly, so please let us know if you encounter any issues.
- With very low framerates, you many run into some troubles like a very slow walking speed. We suspect this happens because Unity's Physics solver fails to operate under a certain performance threshold. Sorry :(

It takes a while to get to the good part of the game, that is, the dungeon. At the time I got there, it was already 5 minutes.
I'd prefer more parkour and less shooting very basic enemies that are there just to pad the level.
Maybe making it more like Neon White, where enemies are more like obstacles than actual enemies, would make the game flow much smoother
The game is really cool! The wall run and the grappling hook remember me the good times with titan fall. I want to try more of it, maybe on a big pirate ship :)
Really cool game! I got stuck in these boxes in the dungeon after I jumped on them
Hi, thanks for the feedback!
We just pushed update 0.1.1 that should have solved this issue alongside other minor things.
If you have other suggestions to address for the beta release, please let us know!
