Laser Knight Beta!


Goodmorning fellow Laser Knights!

We bring forth Exciting News!

As you might have seen - on the 7th of January - we delivered the BETA version of the game!

Here is a short list of the major improvements since the prototype version of the game:

  • Additions
    • Added a Boss fight at the end of the Level!
    • Added a tutorial room at the start of the Level
    • Added a room to replace the little one with energy cells
    • Added a couple of cutscenes
  • Changes
    • Improved hitboxes of enemies and projectiles
    • Improved cameras
    • Improved overall feedback when taking damage and when healing with potions
    • Tweaked potions' look and position throughout the level
    • Reduced sloppyness when moving objects
    • Tweaked player's movement to be snappier
    • Changed button to use potion on keyboard (went from P to E)
    • Changed look of projectiles
    • Polished rooms
    • On-screen prompts now change depending on input device (reduces screen clutter)
    • Increased visibility of prompt to skip cutscenes
    • Many other minor changes to level design and gameplay
  • Fixes
    • Fixed Golem not being able to hit the player
    • Fixed graphical glitches in some of the rooms
    • Fixed a handful of minor bugs
  • Deletions
    • Removed special attack (it was unnecessary and did not add anything to the gameplay)
    • Removed what looked like a lift from the room before the shield control room
